Connecticut Outdoor Adventures

Classic Cruises of Newport is the local favorite for sailing tours and harbor cruises. Enjoy breathtaking sailing offering spectacular views of Newport Harbor, Narragansett Bay and the excitement of the Sailing Capital of America.

We offer sailing tours and excursions on our 72’ Schooner Madeleine. The sailing yacht Madeleine offers 19th century charm and style as you cruise the bay. Our high speed motor yacht tours on the classic speedboat RumRunnerII bring the intrigue and luxury from her smuggling days to your day as you cruise the waterfront. Both of these boat rides are available for daily harbor tours and sunset cocktail cruises.

Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center

The Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center, established in 1946, is a non-profit organization dedicated to fulfilling its mission:

To inspire and nurture appreciation of the natural world and foster a personal environmental ethic.

We are a combination wildlife sanctuary, visitor attraction and educational facility. The Center features all-new exhibits highlighting the habitats and wildlife of southeastern Connecticut, as well as eight miles of trails that wind through a beautiful 300-acre wooded preserve.

Through natural history exhibits, educational classes and outreach programs, we seek to educate visitors of all ages about the unique interrelationships of animals, plants and non-renewable resources.
